Pronunciation and Greetings – 10:30am Saturday, July 7th
Enrichment starts with the basics. Reading the street signs will help you land on your feet. Make new friends with the phrase, “It’s nice to meet you.”
In this class you will learn how to read pinyin (think Chinese with English letters). You will learn the basic consonants (starting sounds) and vowels (ending sounds).

Feeling Adventurous? Try the Chou Dofu. Seeking safety? Tell them you are allergic to nuts.
In this class you will learn to order chicken and how to ask them to turn down the heat. If you insist, we’ll teach you how to order extra spicy chicken!
Numbers and Money – 10:30am Saturday, July 14th
Learn to count and recognize money. How else can you read prices?
Count to 10,000. Learn to tell the difference between different coins.
Bonus: Learn the basics of negotiating in China. Then you can negotiate when you buy something at the night market!
Travel and Emergency Phrases – 10:30am Saturday, July 21st
Need help? Start this class learning how to ask for a taxi and then how to tell the driver to phone the police (or just, “Take me back to my boat!”)
